V8 Wankers, Germany’s premier kick ass Rock N’ Metal band, have signed to Steamhammer SPV, to release their sixth studio album, ‘Iron Crossroads’, produced by Tommy Newton (UFO, Helloween, Guano Apes etc.), on April 18th. ‘Iron Crossroads’ is packed with catchy, addictive, full throttle ‘Big-Blog-Motor Rock’ hard driving metallic rock anthems celebrating V8 Wankers’ love of powerful V8 engine cars, tattoos, drinking beer and partying hard. With track titles such as ‘Sworn To Fun Second To None’, ‘Live By Rock n Roll, Die By Rock n Roll’, ‘SBM (Stop Bugging Me)’, ‘Ride The Rocket’ and ‘You Hate Me I am so Glad’, you know you’re in for a seriously raucous, romping rock rollercoaster ride. These tattooed drag strip rock n rollers were formed in Offenbach in 2000 and by 2001 had already supported Rose Tattoo and Skew Siskin around Germany. After the release of their debut album ‘Blown Action Rock’ in 2002, they landed a slot on the main stage of the Bizarre Festival (with Turbo Negro) in Germany and supported Motorhead in Croatia. 2003 saw the release of their second album ‘Automotive Rampage’, more shows with Rose Tattoo and their first appearance at Germany’s Wacken Open Air Festival. 2004 saw tours with the likes of Gluecifer, D.R.I., The Bones and The Meteors before they recorded their third album, ‘The Demon Tweak’, released in 2005. After over 120 live shows around Europe in 2006, the group recorded their fourth album, ‘Hell On Wheels’, released early in 2007, followed by a major tour with W.A.S.P. later that year. Countless shows in 2008 included supporting Girlschool on their 30th Anniversary Tour, while in 2009 they starred at the Full Force Festival and toured with Peter and The Test Tube Babies. V8 Wankers’ fifth album, ‘Foxtail Testemonial’, was so well received on release in 2010 that SPV offered the band a deal and put them in to the studio to record ‘Iron Crossroads’, their first fully international album release. |
